About the area

It’s with good reason that Back Bay is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its well-preserved 19th-century architecture was influenced by the architecture of Paris and its tree-lined boulevards and rows of brownstone townhouses offer a perfectly picturesque commute or mid-day escape, as do the nearby green spaces of the Boston Public Garden, Boston Common, and Charles River Esplanade.

Among the area’s many culturally significant institutions are the Boston Public Library and the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, and some of the city's best shopping, dining, fitness and wellness centers can be found along Boylston Street (well-known as the location of the Boston Marathon finish line) and neighboring Newbury Street. Just steps outside the building are Tatte Bakery & Cafe, Parish Cafe & Bar, Beatnic and Life Alive.

Quick access to the Green Line connects you with the whole of Greater Boston, including its southern suburbs and destinations like Beacon Hill and the North End. And with corporate high rises like the Prudential Building and the John Hancock Tower among its neighbors, members at Workbar Back Bay
Our members ❤️ Workbar
Our Workbar Back Bay Community
Cosmopolitan professionals who care about their work and their personal lives in equal measure
“With the Green Line right outside our door and Back Bay Train Station a short walk away, our Workbar Back Bay members find it easy to commute from more suburban towns like Chestnut Hill and Brookline, while those who live more locally love their pre and post-work walks through picturesque and quintessentially Boston neighborhoods like Back Bay, the South End, Beacon Hill. As a group, our members here are very dedicated to both their careers and their personal lives. They love the on-site gym and yoga studio, they go for mid-day runs on the Esplanade, take coffee break strolls through the Public Garden, and meet up with colleagues, friends, and family for after-work dinners or drinks. Many have specifically chosen the Back Bay location because of its iconic views, its location in such a culturally rich area of the city, and its hotel-like luxurious ambiance, which many say is above and beyond what they’ve experienced at a corporate HQ.”
