Regional Density - Access to 7 locations in Greater Boston
Coworking is all about flexibility and agility – or at least, it should be. If you choose Workbar Cambridge as the home base for your team or for your personal business, you will have access to the Workbar network including our locations in Boston, Somerville, Arlington, Salem and Burlington. Additionally, you have the option to work from any of our network partners – some of the best local coworking spaces across Massachusetts. With a membership at CIC Cambridge, on the other hand, you have access to Cambridge Innovation Center in Boston but you wouldn’t have access to a vast network of spaces in the region.

Four Modern Neighborhoods to Support Different Work Styles
If you walk into most coworking spaces in the Boston area, such as CIC Cambridge (CIC One Broadway), you will notice that they have very few common areas for coworkers to share – most of their floor design is focused on CIC office spaceprivate offices.
At Workbar, we not only offer plenty of common areas, but we have taken our open coworking spaces to the next level by separating them by noise level. We understand that not everyone works the same way, so we created four different neighborhoods within our spaces designed to support different workstyles.
1) The Cafe - A conversation-friendly area with ambient music
2) The Commons - A space designed for team collaboration, no phones allowed!
3) The Switchboard - Phone-friendly area, great for conference calls and sales teams
4) The Study - Think of this space like a library, a completely quiet are for heads-down work.

Membership Options for Tailored to Your Needs
Whether you manage a company’s operations budget or you are reinvesting your own earnings into a personal business, the last thing you want to do is overpay for workspace. So why pay a large monthly fee for a desk or office at CIC Cambridge (CIC One Broadway) if you only need to use the space a couple of times a month? At Workbar, our membership offerings include full-time and part-time access to accommodate you and your team’s unique needs. Only planning on using the space a few times? Have a part-time employee that only comes in once a week? No need to commit full-time. We offer plenty of options to ensure you only pay for the time you are using the space.

Generous Meeting Room Hours & A Modern Booking System
Some coworking spaces in the area, including Cambridge Innovation Center locations like CIC Cambridge, advertise unlimited use of meeting rooms for members. However, in a large coworking space, that is not a successful practice from an operations standpoint or from a user experience perspective. Such offering can easily become counterproductive; crowded meeting rooms and uncontrolled use of the space can leave members with no room at all to hold their meetings. At Workbar, we understand the value of having a private space to host your team gatherings or client meetings. Our meeting rooms are bookable via the company’s members-only digital platform, and can be booked well in advance. Part-time members get 5 hours/month, full-time and office space members get 10 hours/month and groups get up to 40 hours/month.

Common Areas that Facilitate Community Engagement and Interaction
While coworking has become an increasingly common term in commercial real estate, it was born as a community, collaborative solution, and at Workbar we stay true to that concept. When you visit any Workbar, you can see it includes many communal areas, and that’s because our spaces are designed to foster community engagement and facilitate member interactions. While the majority of coworking companies in the area, including Cambridge Innovation Center and CIC Cambridge, have mostly private office spaces and very few common areas open to all members, at Workbar we consider those shared spaces the heart of our coworking network.
Workbar is first and foremost a collaborative community, and we wholeheartedly believe that by nurturing connections with other members we can help you expand your network, develop your career and grow your business.

Numerous Members-Only Community Events
Most coworking companies around Boston – including CIC Cambridge (CIC One Broadway) – are known for organizing large events after work hours. However, many of these have primarily focused on hosting public events that attract non-members to the space. The Workbar events calendar, on the other hand, includes both public and members-only events each month, with a focus on professional and social events in the areas our members have expressed interest. We believe curating a strong members-only event calendar adds value to our community by facilitating interaction and socialization, and simply by making working a little more fun. Some of our members only happenings include professional development workshops and panel discussions, cooking demos, community luncheons, outings to local restaurants, craft nights, yoga and meditation sessions and more.
