The coworking space model offers office space to individuals and groups at a monthly rate. Workbar Woburn specifically offers additional amenities, including a fitness center, dry-cleaning, cafes and a courtyard in addition to a variety of different office environments within its larger space.

Coworking spaces at large have seen a boost in some locations in recent years as many more traditional offices switch to hybrid and remote work.

Workbar touted Woburn in a press release announcing the planned ribbon cutting, calling the city “a natural choice” for its latest expansion.

“The community is fast becoming a hub for life sciences, tech, and professional services northwest of Boston,” Workbar said.

The Unicorn Park development spans nearly 30 acres along I-93 in Woburn. The firm National Development bought it back in 2011 and launched a three-year renovation, which was completed in 2014.

Workbar Woburn opened last month. It has not announced a specific date for its ribbon cutting in September.
