Behind the Buildout: Workbar Harvard Square, Vol. 4

Harvard Square

We're officially entering the final stretch at Harvard Square.

After months of planning, design, demolition, and construction, the last 30 days of work are underway at Workbar Harvard Square. If you’ve never followed along with a Workbar buildout before, this is the phase in which a construction project becomes a workspace.

Here’s what’s next: Over the next week, crews will complete the deck spraying before construction shifts into drywall completion, ACT installation, and paint preparation. All of this is the lead-up to final finishes.

For anyone who has followed this Harvard Square series from the beginning, you should know we're entering the most exciting part of the process because finishes are where it all comes together. Over the coming weeks, the space will start to look less like a construction site and more like the Workbar experience our members know and love.

And then comes one of my favorite milestones. Furniture is scheduled to arrive in mid-July. That's when you can finally see how people will actually use the space. The offices begin to feel like offices, the common areas feel like collaborative spaces, and meeting rooms start to feel like places where teams will gather and grow.

We’re nearing the moment where drawings and renderings become reality. Are you excited yet? Because we are.

Why We're Excited About Harvard Square

Every Workbar location is unique, but Harvard Square is particularly special. Located at 50 Church Street, this location puts members in the heart of one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in Greater Boston.

Surrounded by innovation, higher education, entrepreneurship, and public transit, Harvard Square has long been a place where ideas and people come together. Soon, it will also be home to Workbar's newest community.

Become a Founding Member

As construction progresses, we're continuing to welcome Founding Members ahead of opening. Founding Members receive early access pricing, immediate access to the Workbar regional network, and the opportunity to establish themselves in the community before doors officially open. Interested in becoming a Founding Member? Let’s talk.

We'll share more progress updates as we move through the final month of construction. The next update should look dramatically different. The finishes are coming, the furniture is on the way, and Workbar Harvard Square is starting to become real. We hope you’re looking forward to opening day as much as we are.
