Work in Greater Boston keeps evolving — and because the Workbar team works out of our spaces alongside our members, we're always the first to spot what needs updating, upgrading, or even eliminating. That's how we knew Workbar Burlington needed more room for calls, and that the Study was overdue for a refresh.
Our approach to evolving is simple and effective:
We don't guess what a space needs or just do what's trending — we hear it straight from our members and experience it firsthand.
So we expanded the neighborhoods: an additional Switchboard for calls without leaving your desk, and a new-and-improved Study for quiet, focused work. We also brought in a new collaboration table, which meant replacing what we lovingly refer to as our Dr. Evil chairs.
Well, it turns out we initially took "out with the old, in with the new" a little too literally, because once we heard how much our members missed the original chairs, we decided we had to bring them back. (Don't worry, they just sit upstairs now.)
Little details like that are exactly why we pay such close attention — at the end of the day, our members are the ones who determine our direction, not the other way around.
Some feedback is purely practical, like the need for more phone-friendly areas, while some is more sentimental, like the original chairs making a quiet comeback. All of it matters and contributes to what makes Workbar so special: the give-and-take with our member community.
Coworking was never meant to be a one-sided conversation. It's a dialogue we're constantly having with the people who use our spaces every day.
